Candy is a US Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, providing clinical service to clients of all ages and clinical supervision to Dance/Movement Therapy students; she is also a US Registered Drama Therapist and Certified Child Life Specialist.

 

Candy gradated from Antioch University New England with a MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling in 2012. Candy did her counselling  internship at the Cheshire County Alternative Sentencing Program and Mental Health Court, serving misdemeanour offenders suffering from mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Candy then finished Dance/Movement Therapy internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angels and in addition, her Child Life internship at Hackensack Medical Centre, serving paediatric patients and their families.

 

Upon returning to Hong Kong, Candy started her private practice, Piece of Sky, working with different NGOs, serving clients from all age group and background; providing staff training to medical staffs, social workers, PT, OT etc.  Candy also worked part time with Children’s Cancer Foundation for 3 years as a Child Life Specialist and Dance/Movement Therapist. Candy's clinical experience includes hospitals, mental health facilities, legal system, schools, special needs children and adults, etcs in United States, Hong Kong, China and Belgium.

 

She has been teaching at the University of Hong Kong’s Masters in Expressive Arts Program and the Performance Art module created by AFTEC of the Medical Humanities curriculum since 2015.  

 

Candy is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and simple Flemish and baby sign (based on American Sign Language) .

Candy speaks fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin and simple Flemish.
